For decades, I have traveled the world in my wheelchair.

Across countries, cultures, and continents, I have discovered that the most meaningful journeys rarely follow a perfectly planned itinerary.

Sometimes they begin with an unexpected conversation in a village square, a breathtaking view from a seaside terrace, or the discovery of a restaurant tucked away along an ancient street.

Sometimes they involve extraordinary beauty, unforgettable hospitality, and moments of pure wonder.

And sometimes they involve obstacles that reveal just how far the travel industry still has to go.

Through it all, I have learned something essential:
